Go Blue Challenge PDF Print E-mail

The Go Blue Challenge encourages employee participation in run/walk event. Since its inception in 2006, the annual Big House Big Heart Run has become one of Ann Arbor’s most anticipated charity events, with thousands of people walking, running or wheeling to a celebratory finish on the 50 yard line of the Big House. In 2010, more than 10,000 people participated in BHBH and raised nearly $600K to support local charities.

We challenge you — every University of Michigan school, college and department — to form a BHBH team to participate in the event of your choice: walk or run 1 mile, 5K or 10K. Wheelchairs and strollers are welcome. By participating in BHBH, you can get exercise, have fun with colleagues and raise money for three outstanding U-M Health System programs:

  • ALS Research at the Program for Neurology Research & Discovery
  • the U-M Comprehensive Cardiovascular Center
  • C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital
  • Von Voigtlander Women’s Hospital
  • as well as charities chosen by participating teams

In addition, the U-M school or college and non-academic department that turn out the highest percentage of participants will each win a coveted Go Blue Challenge award. Hope to see you there!

Register by now to ensure your place in the next BHBH!

When registering online, select your school, college or department from the drop down menu, and register for your distance of choice. Cost varies based on registration for the race or walk.
