Mission or Goal: Paws With A Cause® trains Assistance Dogs nationally for people with disabilities and provides lifetime team support which encourages independence. PAWS® promotes awareness through education.

Main target audience/ recipients: The main recipients are the physically disabled, the hearing impaired, people with seizure disorders, and children with autism.

What you wish to do with funds raised: One service dog alone can cost upwards of $20,000. Understanding that many with disabilities are low-income residents, Paws With a Cause does not charge their clients for the dog. This money could be used to help a specific client reach their goal of independence, or to one of the many steps leading up to this point, including such programs as the Breeding Program, where many Future Assistance Dogs begin, to the Foster Puppy Program, where young puppies gain valuable obedience and socialization experience for the first year of their lives, to the Training Program, where young adult dogs are trained specifically for the needs of their future client. No matter where the money is allocated, it is all supporting the independence and improved quality of life of the disabled.
