The Detroit College Promise is a tax exempt nonprofit based on the Kalamazoo Promise. We support economic development in Detroit and the Detroit Public Schools (DPS) by providing scholarships and financial assistance to all 85,000 DPS students simply for living in Detroit, graduating from a DPS school and completing some simple paperwork. Last year, our graduates received an average of $9500 in grants, including our scholarship. Visit our website or call us at for more information.
