Mission or Goal: SafeHouse Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to ending domestic violence and sexual assault in Washtenaw County, Michigan. SafeHouse provides free and confidential services, 24 hours a day, every day of the year. Our programs include counseling, court accompaniment, information and referrals, emergency shelter and personal advocacy. Our mission is two-fold: to provide safety, support, advocacy and resources for survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence and their children and to work relentlessly to change the systems and attitudes that allow this abuse to continue.

Main target audience/ recipients: We provide services to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault who live or work in Washtenaw County and their children.

What you wish to do with funds raised: The funds raised through the Big House Big Heart Run will be used to support our 24 hour response services to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.
