The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for all intellectually disabled children and adults, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in the sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families.

Special Olympics contributes to the physical, social and psychological development of people with intellectual disabilities. Through successful experiences in sports, athletes gain confidence and build a positive self-image that carries over to the classroom, the home, the job and community. We serve individuals from the ages of 2 – 100 with various intellectual disabilities. There is no fee for our program, athletes and families participate free of charge.

Funds raised will help to purchase much needed sports equipment to expand our sports programming to serve more athletes.
